The Aksu College of Ferrous Metallurgy has announced the addition of a new chemical analysis laboratory to its training and production park. The laboratory was made possible by a donation of 30 million tenge from the Aksu Ferroalloy Plant, a branch of TNK Kazchrome, as part of a social partnership program between the plant and the educational institution. The laboratory features two spacious classrooms, one for theoretical knowledge and the other for practice, both of which are equipped with modern equipment, including microscopes, drying cabinets, 3D printers, and more. The laboratory will provide training for students in the speciality of a chemical analysis laboratory assistant, which is a sought-after profession at the Aksu Ferroalloy Plant. The Aksu College of Ferrous Metallurgy is the basic educational institution of the AFP for the training of workers, and it has been receiving annual sponsorships from the plant since 2009 to improve its material and technical equipment. Recently, an outdoor sports complex was also built at the AKChM, and modern machine tools, interactive simulators, and 3D modules were installed in the college’s classrooms and production workshops.
