Kumtor May Begin Purchasing Equipment from Danish Company. This development comes to light following a meeting between Kumtor CEO Almazbek Baryktabasov and FLSmidth Vice President Alexei Kutilin at the MINEX Central Asia – 2024 forum. It is worth noting that for the past 30 years, equipment from several companies now part of FLSmidth, a transnational company specializing in developing technologies and manufacturing equipment for the mining industry, has been supplied to the Kumtor mine. Baryktabasov stated that Kumtor is open to considering collaboration with FLSmidth in areas such as equipment supply and implementing the latest technological solutions to increase production indicators. Both parties have agreed to continue consultations on several areas of mutual interest.
