The 10th MINEX Central Asia 2024 mining and exploration forum has begun in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic. The event was inaugurated with a welcome address by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, Akylbek Japarov, who highlighted the significant contribution of the mining industry to the country’s economy.

Over the next two days, participants will engage in discussions on a wide range of topics, including the current state and future prospects of the mining industry, the application of modern technologies for environmental conservation, adherence to safety standards, personal development, and professional skill enhancement for mining company employees.

The forum will also feature numerous bilateral meetings, and after its conclusion, attendees will visit leading mining enterprises in the Kyrgyz Republic. This will provide them with a firsthand opportunity to familiarize themselves with the production process, various services, working conditions, and leisure facilities for mining professionals.

The MINEX Central Asia 2024 forum is held annually in one of the Central Asian republics, aiming to strengthen interregional and international cooperation in the field of subsoil use, facilitate the transition to climate neutrality, and support socio-economic development in the region.
