The 10th Central Asian Mining and Geological Forum, MINEX Central Asia, has started in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, on June 19, 2024. The forum is held under the theme “Prospects and Scenarios for Sustainable Development of the Mining Industry in Central Asia”.
On the first day of the forum, seven cooperation agreements were signed:
An agreement on the implementation of a project on the production of geosynthetic cement composite mats between the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan and Concrete Canvas.
An agreement between the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision of Kyrgyzstan and SRK Consulting (UK) Limited.
A memorandum of cooperation between ZAO “Kumtor Gold Company” and Metso (Finland) OY.
A memorandum of understanding between OAO “Kyrgyzaltyn” and Metso (Finland) OY.
A memorandum of understanding and cooperation between OAO “Kyrgyzaltyn” and OsOO “Yuankun”.
A memorandum of understanding and cooperation between OAO “Kyrgyzaltyn” and Intertech Process Technology Inc (USA).
A cooperation agreement between GP Kyrgyzgeology and Xinjiang Shunzheng Vanadium Titanium Technology Co., Ltd.
The signing ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan, B. Töröbaev, and Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision of Kyrgyzstan, M. Turgunbaev.
These signed documents will serve as a new impetus for the development of the mining industry in the country.
