The recent signing of the agreement on construction of Kambar-Ata-1 HPP with the neighboring countries is the example of how Central Asian countries may unite for achievement of common goals and resolution of global tasks,” Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Japarov said at the The 10th MINEX Central Asia Mining and Exploration Forum in Bishkek.

“In our history, there was a time when poverty was fairly distributed in one direction and wealth in another. We want to equitably distribute wealth with our partners, fostering mutually beneficial relationships in the interest of the people,” stated Akylbek Zhaparov, the Prime Minister, today at the “MINEX Central Asia” forum.

According to him, Kyrgyzstan is ready for mutually beneficial cooperation. The country is improving its tax legislation by reducing the tax burden for entrepreneurs.

“Organizations with national or investment significance are granted privileges, including tax benefits. Thanks to the state’s support measures for the business sector, the inflow of foreign direct investment in Kyrgyzstan is increasing confidently. Every investor can leverage all existing opportunities in Kyrgyzstan and actively invest. It’s time to open a new chapter in our relationship, focused on tangible results and creation,” said Akylbek Zhaparov.

The Prime Minister reminded that 95% of Kyrgyzstan’s territory consists of mountains, rich in valuable minerals. These include not only gold and coal but also iron—over 5 billion tons in ore from just one section of a deposit—as well as rare earth metals currently in high demand (europium, zirconium, cesium, lanthanides, and others).

“As an example, I can mention that the estimated reserves of titanomagnetite in just one deposit area amount to around 20 million tons (Kyzyl-Ompol), while another deposit holds reserves of rare earth metals, including over 21 elements, totaling about 60,000 tons (Kutessai-2). These reserves were documented over 50 years ago. Moreover, authoritative geologists and scientists believe that with more detailed geological exploration using new technological solutions, these figures could increase significantly. We invite partners to collaborate on geological exploration and eagerly await investors in this promising economic sector—mining,” he emphasized.

Akylbek Zhaparov also highlighted that Kyrgyzstan has achieved political stability based on economic improvements in the country. Positive shifts in the economic sphere are evident, and the people perceive improvements across all areas. “We can say that after three revolutions, the country has now turned toward economics and creation,” he concluded.
