In Kazakhstan, it is planned to launch a number of new digital services for citizens and businesses and modernize the architecture of “electronic government”. These and other topics were discussed at a meeting of the Commission on Digitalization Issues chaired by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov.

Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry Bagdat Musin reported that a list of 66 digital initiatives of government agencies has been developed to date, which are planned to be implemented this year.

Among them are the digitization of medical and social expertise to establish disability, the launch of a single digital queue for preschool organizations, the introduction of the Vet Mobile application for registering farm animals, the automation of the procedure for exempting or temporarily deferring from conscription into the army, and the transfer of notary services to electronic format.

The implementation of these initiatives is aimed at solving specific life situations of citizens and businesses, freeing them from the need to personally go to various authorities with paper documents and waste time on long queues.

At the same time, it is planned to launch a digital queue for housing, implement the possibility of concluding employment contracts online, provide customs declaration for individuals in a mobile application, inform citizens (push notification) about the need to receive medical preventive services or employment opportunities in their region , launch a service for checking the availability of petroleum products at gas stations and much more.

The issue of working with data was also discussed as a key element for debureaucratization, eliminating the need to request various information from citizens.

The Prime Minister approved the presented initiatives, noting that the promotion of digitalization and the expansion of the proactive format for the provision of services will have a positive impact on the quality of life of the population.

The meeting also considered the progress in the digitization of land relations. As part of this work, a phased launch of the Unified State Real Estate Cadastre (EGKN) is planned, on the basis of which a public cadastral map of land resources and an electronic trading platform will be implemented.

Alikhan Smailov instructed the Ministry of Agriculture to review approaches to organizing the process of digitizing agricultural land.

During the meeting, measures were also discussed to provide the regions of the republic with broadband Internet access and technical issues of deploying a 5G network, as well as approaches to the digital transformation of public administration based on qualitatively structured data.
