My name is Almaz Baryktabasov. I started my professional career at Kumtor mine in 1997 as a heavy equipment mechanic. In 1993 I specialized as a mechanical technician, and in 2009 I received diploma of engineer in Transport and technological machines and equipment operation.

From 2007 I became a Head of Maintenance Department and managed technical aspects of the mine, co-operating with leading equipment suppliers, developing maintenance and repair strategies.

In 2014, being promoted as a Maintenance Department Manager I controlled operating and capital expenditures, coordinated mining equipment and fleet operations.

In 2022, I was appointed President of Kumtor Gold Company CJSC. I manage a leading company, developing and implementing strategic plans according to objectives set by leadership of Kyrgyzstan.

My experience at Kumtor Gold Company provided me knowledge and skills in mining management and business development. My goal is to contribute to growth and development of our company.
