KAZ Minerals Bozymchak has partnered with the 10th MINEX Central Asia Forum in Bishkek. The forum, which concluded its work, brought together representatives from mining and technology companies, as well as government officials.

The Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic served as the general regional partner for the forum, while the Department for Business and Trade (UK) and Business Sweden (Sweden) were international partners. KAZ Minerals Bozymchak was also one of the partners of the forum.

During the event, the General Director of KAZ Minerals Bozymchak, Ilyas Tulekeev, presented on the investment opportunities in Kyrgyzstan, using the successful operation of the Bozymchak mining and processing plant as an example. The Bozymchak project is the largest Kazakh investment project in the Kyrgyz Republic, with investments totaling around $450 million.

The company employs over 1,300 people, with 97% of them being citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic. KAZ Minerals Bozymchak makes a significant contribution to the socio-economic development of the republic, having transferred approximately 15 billion soms to the state budget during its operation. The company is currently at the stage of constructing and launching an underground mine, with the construction valued at over $110 million, of which around $60 million has already been invested.

Ilyas Tulekeev noted that the forum demonstrates the government’s support for the development of the mining industry, which is a key driver of the country’s economic development. Several agreements were signed as a result of the forum.
