Almazbek Baryktabasov, President of Kumtor Gold Company, and Andrey Novitsky, Managing Director of Boston Consulting Group, discussed collaboration prospects on the sidelines of the 10th Gorno-Geological Forum “MINEX Central Asia 2024”. The discussion focused on the potential partnership in implementing and adapting digital solutions, monitoring inventory, enhancing operational efficiency, and increasing mining output.

Baryktabasov emphasized Kumtor Gold Company’s interest in collaborating with Boston Consulting Group in various areas, including the implementation and adaptation of digital solutions, inventory monitoring, operational efficiency, and mining output. He mentioned that each production site is unique and has its specifics.

Baryktabasov further stated that Kumtor Gold Company has initiated an important project to extract gold-bearing ore using underground mining methods at the Kumtor mine, located more than 4,000 meters above sea level. The company aims to implement the project while adhering to global environmental standards.

In response, Novitsky highlighted the importance of applying the latest innovative and technological solutions in complex industries such as gold mining. He noted that Boston Consulting Group has extensive experience in providing comprehensive consulting services in the geological and mining sectors and is ready to collaborate on improving production indicators, optimizing costs, and implementing elements of artificial intelligence.
