On June 22, a meeting took place at the Kumtor mine with participants from the international forum “MINEX Central Asia 2024.” This event marked a significant step in exchanging views in the field of the mining industry in Central Asian countries.
The Kumtor mine proudly hosted representatives from major international companies during the “MINEX Central Asia 2024” Forum. Among the visiting participants were industry leaders such as Weir Company, Draslovka Holding, CMT Consulting Kazakhstan, Promprivod, Goliath Advisory, MMD Mineral Sizing, SRK Consulting, GRK Bystrinskoye, Alpha-Safety, SAEL, DBT, Advantix, Gorny Forum, ALS Kazakhstan, and Kintsai Tianshan.
As part of the visit, forum participants had a unique opportunity to explore the technologies and infrastructure of the Kumtor mine. The management of Kumtor Gold Company presented an extensive overview, covering current and future company projects, as well as key technological solutions used in gold extraction, environmental practices, and safe operations.
The agenda included site visits to various areas of the mine, including the central quarry, the workshop for repairing mining equipment, and the ore processing plant. Participants gained insights into the processes that ensure efficient mine operations.
Special attention was given to meetings and negotiations with the company’s leadership. These discussions served as a platform for strategic directions and opportunities for collaboration and innovative initiatives.
Forum participants expressed high praise for the organization of the meeting at an altitude of over 4,000 meters above sea level. The event underscored the importance of modern approaches in the mining industry and a commitment to sustainable development.
