During the recent 10th International MINEX Central Asia Forum held in Bishkek, representatives from mining and geological companies across Europe, China, Central Asia, North America, and the Middle East had the opportunity to explore the operational processes, technologies, and infrastructure at the Kumtor gold mine. The closed joint-stock company “Kumtor Gold Company” provided detailed insights into the mine’s situation, and key technological solutions used in gold extraction, and addressed guests’ questions. Participants also visited the central quarry, observed the gold extraction plant, and explored the heavy mining equipment repair workshop.
The trip served as a valuable exchange of expertise and best practices for the further development of the mining industry. The forum attendees praised Kumtor’s commitment to safety, efficient production processes, waste management, and environmental protection. Notably, the mine’s social responsibility initiatives and focus on sustainable practices were also highlighted by participants.
